He has over 25 years experience in all aspects of recording and music production; in this capacity he covers the roles of Music Producer, Keyboardist and Audio Engineer. Jason launched Studio Jay Recording in 2000 catering to both the Advertising Sector (Radio, TV & World Wide Web) and Artiste Production for many top Caribbean recording artists. 



Studio Jay Recording Ltd is a state-of-the-art production facility located in Maraval, Trinidad which specializes in Production of Voice, Commercial Jingles and Voice Spots for Television and Radio, Audio for Websites, Infomercials for Company Phone-on Hold, complete arrangement and production of music for recording artists.  We also produce music videos, supply digital editing & post production for documentaries and films. Additionally, we offer Graphic Design & Animation and  Video Services including TVC's,  Social Media Spots, Commercial Photography and Short Films.

INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES

In 2011, Jason was selected by Caribbean Export Development Agency (CEDA) as a delegate to the World Music Expo (WOMEX) in Copenhagen, Denmark in recognition of his growing reputation as one of the most innovative producers of the Caribbean region. In July 2012 Jason was once again included as part of a trade mission to Manchester, Berlin and Paris. 

 

Jason Dasent is the founder of the DiscoverME –Artiste of the Month initiative, which was started in May 2016. He garnered the support of key industry players to create and launch a platform that would provide the exposure needed to introduce new artistes to the citizens of Trinidad and Tobago. Each year Jason identifies 4 emerging artiste and readies them for the global stage. A process that involves producing an original song, an electronic press-kit, media exposure, training in etiquette, fashion, interview skills, performance discipline and a live headline concert experience. This initiative started without any financial backing, however it’s success has organically drawn corporate sponsors to support it.
